What To Consider When Purchasing MLM Leads

By Keith Jenkins

When purchasing MLM leads or prospect lists, you have to be very careful. There are many problems with purchasing leads.

You really need to investigate several things when it comes to purchasing leads.

1. How is it produced?

Leads are produced in a variety of methods. Incentivized leads are leads that have been given something to sign up. In other words they were given money or some other sort of incentive to join and become a lead.

We have found incentives leads to be not very valuable.

Unincentivized leads, in other words leads that have not been given anything to sign up, seem to be more serious, interested and qualified leads.

2. How are you going to contact them?

We have found that the best way to contact leads is by telephone. Many people have autoresponders, and different way to contact their leads by email, but we find that telephone contact seems to be best.

You need to make sure that you have the time to call your leads. After all most people still have traditional jobs and work a normal 9-5. You may also have things that conflict with your schedule. You also need to consider the time zone in which you are calling to.

For example if you are on the west coast, you don't want to call the east coast after 6 pm PST, because it would be after 9pm their time.

Also with the advent of cell phones and voicemail, it is actually very common to be not actually connect with people, but connect with their voice mail instead.

It has been my experience that if a prospect will not call you back, then that lead is no good to you. You have paid for a contact that you can not use

If you plan to contact your prospect by email then we have to contend with spam blockers, mass emailing, and trying to reach your prospect.

Producing leads yourself is the best answer.

Developing your own lead generation machine is the best thing that you can do. That way you control what they look at, what steps you want them to take, and ultimately how you will connect with them.

If you educate yourself on how to produce your own leads, you will be much better off, and have a few more $$ in your pocket.

As always we would love to hear your comments questions and concerns about anything that we write.
