I would like to know if there are any data bases that you can research and obtain public information such as people who are interested in new age movement, spirituality, humantarians and people who are interested in things like this. I am trying to obtain mailing lists from magazines and such. I am open for suggestions.

Leads Feedback: The information you are seeking is very specific and will not be found for free. Magazines will not share their subscriber lists for free. If you do find anything, it will be general and not address-specific so you wouldn’t be able to mail to anyone.
You should contact a list provider, give them your criteria and ask for a quote. If you narrow down your geographic coverage, your target list may be quite affordable.

I would try, call them up and give them the criteria that you are interested (age, gender, interest, area, and so on).
They will give you a total number of addresses available that meet your criteria, and then give you option of how many of those addresses you would like to buy.
